Friday Finds: This Is Why I’m Broke

I stumbled upon this site, This Is Why I’m Broke, a while ago, but just remembered it again when a good friend posted an item from the site this week. So this week’s finds will be some of my all time favorite items that are from the site. (It was VERY hard to choose just five. I will have to make another post about some of the other items I want later!) Enjoy!

The Ice Lug! Perfect for a party for any occasion. This would be pretty awesome if you were at a party and had this. Your drinks would always be cold and never watered down.

I don’t smoke, but this Mini Fire  Extinguisher Lighter would be a pretty cool gift to give a friend/family member who does. I thought this was pretty cool looking and it’s really affordable too!

This Virtual Infrared Keyboard caught my eye. I think it would be pretty cool and different to have on your desk. At least you’ll never need that can of air again, lol!

I know a lot of people who would love this. People for some reason like the edge of a brownie. I know I do. I love the mix of crunchieness and softness on a good moist brownie, that’s why the Endless Edges Brownie Pan would be freaking awesome to  have.

I thought this Boyfriend Pillow was pretty funny, but now that I think about it. When the hubby was gone for three weeks for work, this would have been nice to snuggle with in my bed so I could get some sleep.

Wordless Mondays

Not too much to say, Monday’s are too crazy, but I found this and couldn’t stop laughing.

 

Anyone else glad that Modern Family is back on?!?! This is one of the best shows ever cast and created (next to Friends, of course) The season premiere had me laughing so hard I had to make the hubby pause it while I was wiping the tears from my face.

Friday Finds: Fall Goodies

Today is the first official day of Fall, yay! Although I’ve had my pumpkin candles lit since the beginning of September, they smell even better now and my house smells delicious. So here are a few Fall items I found.

This beautiful Pumpkin Pie Spiced candle is from gelDlights. Not only is it very affordable, the look of this candle makes me want pumpkin pie already. Along with this candle, gelDlights also has a Pecan Pie Candle and a set of four Golden Harvest candles to get you in the Fall Spirit.

Next up is Bath and Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Hand Soap. Who doesn’t love Bath and Body Works, right?! I’m debating on going today or tomorrow to get this hand soap. I bought some last year and absolutely loved it. I’m also thinking about getting their Caramel Apple hand soap too since they’re on sale for $5.50 each or 4 for $15, you can’t beat that!

I’ve mentioned Sugar Lane Shoppe before and I have to admit her necklaces, just keeps getting prettier and prettier. She has a few “Fall,” items up for sale. This one is my favorite of them all. So head over there now and get one before they’re all gone.

A Re-Introduction?!

Wow. It’s been nearly a year since my last post. I do apologize to those of you who still come around and check out the blog from time to time. Life has kept me busy. It’s not that I haven’t thought about this blog. I mean, there were times where I thought I should just delete it altogether, but then I thought what if I come online and want to blog again. Why would I want to start over and “hope,” to have readers again. Well, I guess, thank God I didn’t delete the blog because starting over would have taken forever and I don’t even know if I have the patience to do that again. Instead I’ll just click that “New Post,” button and keep this one going because I’m still Just An Ordinary Girl.

P.S. – It’s time for a new blog look. Any suggestions out there in the blog world about Free WordPress Layouts/Themes?

Wordless Mondays

A little over a week left for Eclipse to come out on DVD, I can’t wait! That will be a Twilight movie night with my glass of wine and some junk food, anyone that wants to join me is more then welcome to!  So for us Twilight fans that don’t mind the funny quotes and pictures out there, I thought this was hilarious!

Tons of work to do today, not to mention housework too. For those of you wondering, Girls Night Out was a success. We had tons of fun as usual and it was great getting together. Friday Finds: Unknown Etsy Shops

I missed last Friday Finds because my household has been pretty hectic lately, but everything is FINALLY back to normal and I could do for a glass of wine now, please and thank you! I’m actually going out with a couple of my girlfriends tomorrow night to our local bar in town so that should help alot with me releasing all the stress I’ve had these past two weeks.  Woot, I can’t wait!

Now to my Friday Finds. I love Etsy! If you don’t know what Etsy is, here is a small summary. It’s a website that helps enable people to make a living making things and selling them on their site.

When I first heard about it I fell in love and obsessed with all the homemade goodies that creative unique people have been able to do and make a living from it. I also learned that there are tons and tons of unknown shops that have been up for months, even years and have barely gotten any sales or recognition. So this is why I want this weeks Friday Finds to be about unknown etsy shops. I’m hoping this will get them out there and maybe a sale or two.

Kendal Croix Jewelry sell pieces that have more of an antique look, which suites todays women of any age. Make sure to go and take a look at her pieces, they’re so beautiful!
